Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Manager of Inpatient Rehabilitation or designee, responsible for assisting Physical Therapists in providing comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients served in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the department. Responsible to the patient and the family or significant others for the quality of direct and indirect care delivered.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education
- Degree as Physical Therapy Assistant required.
- Experience
- 3-5 years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant in an outpatient setting required.
- Strong background in treating orthopedics and sports medicine diagnosis preferred.
- Licensure and/or Certification
- BLS healthcare provider required.
- Current license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Massachusetts required.
- Skills
- Clinical competence for the age and type of patients seen.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Must execute sound judgment all duties.
- Courteous and professional manner when dealing with people in person and on the phone.
- Ability to prioritize workload and respond to urgent needs.
- Committed to Service Excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Computer skills required.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
