Cartesian is looking for a talented Head of Talent Acquisition to join our team in Boston! We are a fast-growing consulting firm, seeking an experienced recruiting leader to help attract our next generation of talent.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking a dynamic and rewarding environment. Cartesian has achieved rapid growth over the past 5 years and now needs a dedicated recruiting leader to sustain our growth trajectory. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled recruiting professional to develop, scale, and own a recruiting program end-to-end. We welcome candidates from both agency backgrounds and in-house resourcing functions!

At Cartesian, we take great pride in our engaging in-office culture, which we believe is one of the things that makes our workplace special. We’re looking for a Head of Talent Acquisition who not only appreciates this dynamic but is excited to help cultivate and promote this collaborative environment. The ability to connect with candidates who thrive in this setting is key to our ongoing success, and we’re eager to welcome someone who shares that enthusiasm!

Responsibilities include:

  • End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the full recruiting process for all active roles across the North American business, including sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews, and coordinating offers. Develop and execute creative recruiting strategies for sourcing quality candidates and manage the full recruiting lifecycle across multiple open roles.
  • Campus & Experienced Hiring: Balance both campus recruiting efforts and off-cycle hiring of experienced professionals to meet business needs. Assist with the coordination of College Recruiting initiatives and proactively identify and engage talent through direct sourcing methods, events, and communities.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor the Talent Acquisition Manager (Management Consulting) and foster collaboration between teams to ensure consistency and best practices.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop a robust talent acquisition strategy aligned with organisational goals, partnering with executives to identify hiring needs.
  • Proactive Talent Pipelines: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential candidates, creating a network for future hiring needs. Build and maintain talent pools.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with hiring managers and leadership to align recruiting efforts with business objectives. Assist hiring managers with the creation of comprehensive job descriptions.
  • Employer Branding: Enhance Cartesian’s visibility through strategic outreach, networking, and engagement with top talent pools. Post jobs on multiple platforms, including social media, job boards, industry and professional sites.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices to streamline recruiting efforts and improve candidate experience.
  • Vendor Management: Manage 3rd party vendors as needed to support Recruiting objectives.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain recruiting records, including active and passive candidates, hired and terminated employees, referrals, and other candidate relationships.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 7+ years of direct, transactional recruiting experience, preferably within professional services, consulting, or analytics-driven industries.
  • Proven experience in both campus and experienced hire recruiting cycles.
  • Strong track record of recruitment excellence, particularly in direct sourcing and engaging passive candidates to build networks and talent pipelines to support strategic hiring needs.
  • Proven experience of managing, mentoring and developing recruitment professionals.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills, with the ability to build relationships with both candidates and internal stakeholders and influence key decision-makers.
  • Experience in college/campus recruitment and recruiting for a variety of roles across different industries.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, LinkedIn, ATS, and job board platforms, with the ability to support system implementation when needed.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
