Advanced Cloud DevOps and Platform Engineer

Contract Position

$60.74-$65.74/Hour

The Advanced Cloud DevOps and Platform Engineer job in Scottsdale, Arizona is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Space and Defense . In this job, you will develop CI/CD pipelines, manage infrastructure, integrate security, script/code, and drive cloud solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and frequent releases by project teams.
2. Automate and manage infrastructure provisioning and configuration to support scalability and reliability.
3. Implement security automated measures throughout the software development lifecycle to prevent vulnerabilities.
4. Write scripts and code to automate processes and integrate various systems and tools.
5. Leverage cloud (i.e., AWS/Azure GovCloud) for increased workflow efficiencies and scalable virtualized test environments.
6. Support successful implementation of a PaaS in the Cloud through architecture guidance, best practices, data migration, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and more.

Qualifications:

1. U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain U.S. Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or STEM and 5+ years of experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of experience.
3. Experience working with public (AWS, Azure), private (RHOSP, VIO), and mixed cloud environments.
4. Container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
5. Deployment of CI/CD technologies such as GitLab, Jenkins, Puppet, or Chef.
6. Experience maintaining production-grade applications in virtualized environments using automation.
7. Creation of pipelines, Ansible Playbooks, and/or Terraform configurations to automate administrative actions.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. IT security practices including encryption, certificates, key management, patch management, STIG, RMF, or security hardening, and auditing.
2. Installation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) technologies such as Amazon Web Services, OpenStack, RHOSP, or VIO.
3. Management of Cloud Resources in Amazon Web Services and/or Azure.
4. Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies such as Kubernetes, Rancher, or OpenShift.
5. Cloud automation tooling such as Ansible, Terraform, Terragrunt, or Packer.
6. Open source server, messaging, load balancing, and database software (such as RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch).
7. Scalable networking technologies such as Load Balancers (NGINX)/Firewalls and web standards (REST APIs, web security mechanisms).
