The Experimentation Platform Team develops a state-of-the-art platform that enables Product Engineers, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and non-technical audiences to come up with hypotheses; design, configure, and analyze experiments; and conduct exploratory and causal analysis. You will report to the engineering manager on our Experimentation Platform - Configurations team in our Developer Platform organization. We expect this role to be hybrid (San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Seattle, New York) with some time in-office and some time remote.

• Work on enhancing and simplifying the Experimentation Configuration platform used by almost every engineer in the company.
• Have the opportunity to build a new Experimentation platform from the ground up and influence system design as well as product experience.
• Manage high volume and low latency evaluations for both experiments and feature flags.
• Develop cutting-edge features with fast iteration and significant business impact.
• Collaborate with Product Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Data Infrastructure engineers on important projects.
• Evolve the platform to incorporate new statistical methodologies, machine learning technologies, and advanced causal inference techniques.

We're excited about you because you have…

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 4+ years of industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of CS fundamental concepts and OOP languages.
• Deep understanding of REST principles and experience working with backend APIs.
• Prior experience with Experiment configurations and feature flagging products.
• Experience with Java/Kotlin/Python/Go-lang/Rust.
• Experience with documentation, unit, and integration testing.
• Nice to haves:
• Experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, Snowflake, Spark).
• Experience in data-science related subjects such as analytics, statistics, or machine learning.
• Familiarity with cloud-based environments such as AWS.

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants.

The base pay for this position ranges from $159,800 to $235,000 USD.
