About the Team

The team is developing middleware, network, media, and application development kit for HTML and native applications for the Vizio TV platform. We work with our product, vendor, and app partners to create high-quality products for our customers.

What You Will Do

• Manage and build a strong technical team to achieve business goals.
• Review product requirements and make suggestions.
• Involve in architecture and design for new products, prototyping, understanding, and improving existing software.
• Develop and implement an engineering plan and schedule, allocating resources and delivering as per the plan.
• Oversee the systems and processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Keep updated with new technologies, provide technical leadership, and guide the team.
• Build relationships with vendors and partners.

About You

• 8+ years of experience in managing engineering teams, architecture & design, planning, and release management for consumer electronic devices or embedded devices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to multi-task and drive parallel projects with tight deadlines.
• Very good experience in C, C++11.
• Experience in HAL layer, notification system, IPC, multi-processing, multi-threading, debugging/core dump analysis.
• Experience in Shell-Script, Makefile, JavaScript, Python, git, bug tracking tools.
• Experience or knowledge in native application integrations such as Airplay, AppleTV, Netflix, YouTube.
• Experience or knowledge in video player developments (HLS/DASH), audio-video codecs (H264, H265, AEC, DTS, Dolby Digital), audio-video pipeline, TS, MP4, fMP4 containers, DRM (Widevine, PlayReady, and FairPlay), dynamic ad insertion.
• Good communication, problem-solving skills, self-motivated, proactive, and a good team player.
