What You’ll Do
As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for addressing customer service tickets, providing ongoing support, and implementing upgrades to the latest technology. With a dedicated focus on customer service, you will deliver effective and timely support and solutions.
- Manage, update, and provide support for customer infrastructure, encompassing Servers, Desktops, hypervisor, SAN, Networking, Microsoft Azure, and Office 365.
- Pivot to prioritize and address high-impact tickets, efficiently allocating time and resources to ensure timely resolution.
- Regularly communicate with customers and CIT employees via verbal and written communication to address and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate records of support activities, including ticket updates, resolutions, and customer interactions.
- Meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to ticket resolution time, customer satisfaction, and other relevant metrics.
- Participate in ongoing education and training. We require this position to pass a CJIS background check and complete CJIS training within the first month of starting and obtain the CompTIA A+ certification within their first year at CIT if they don’t already have an equivalent certification.
Work Environment
- This position will work a fully remote schedule anywhere within the United States from 12am – 8am Central Time, Sunday – Thursday.
- This position may require shift work in a 24/7/365 environment and the capacity to work evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday rotations as required.
What You Need
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in computer networking, NOC, or helpdesk environments.
- Microsoft 365 knowledge and support experience.
- Active Directory design, implementation, and administration skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of managing network devices and configurations.
- Intermediate knowledge of hardware and a variety of operating systems including Windows Desktop OS, macOS, Windows Server, VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Scale.
- Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to solve problems independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong computer and typing skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- A criminal background check will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
- After starting at CIT, you will be required to pass the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check, complete all required compliance training, and maintain good standing with CJIS requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer technology field or equivalent computer related work experience.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, VMware, HP Networking, and relevant Microsoft certifications.
- 2+ years of experience working with a managed service provider (MSP).
- Experience working overnight.
Pay Range
The salary range for this role is $60,000 – 75,000. At CIT, compensation is based on total experience, performance, subject matter expertise, and other job-related factors. We are committed to fair and competitive pay that rewards contributions and impact.
