Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) has an opening for a Transportation Planner in our Division of Aeronautics. This position will be located at our Aeronautics building in Boise, ID. The Airport Planners primary responsibility is support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) through the State Capital Improvement Program (SCIP) and management of the Non-Primary Entitlement fund maintenance. The planner provides various levels of support to the owners, managers, and users of public-use municipal airports throughout Idaho as well as local, state and federal agencies, and the public. The planner also assists with the overall statewide effort in the areas of airport planning, development, and safety/operations in order to provide a safe, economical and accessible aviation system. SUMMARY To develop and coordinate planning projects in areas of highway, rail, and public transportation; perform related work.
