Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a skilled Antitrust Litigation Associate with at least 3 years of significant antitrust experience to join its Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of antitrust principles and civil litigation skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with experienced partners on a diverse range of antitrust matters, including litigation, mergers, government investigations, and counseling.
Duties:
- Assist in litigation, merger-related matters, government investigations, and antitrust counseling.
- Work closely with partners in the Antitrust Practice on various legal matters.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and other litigation-related materials.
- Participate in all stages of litigation, including discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and courtroom proceedings.
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to provide strategic advice and counsel.
- Provide guidance on antitrust issues in business transactions and mergers.
- Represent clients in investigations and proceedings with governmental agencies.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in antitrust law, including litigation and counseling.
- Strong foundation in antitrust principles and civil litigation.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and independently when necessary.
- DC Bar admission preferred.
- Writing sample will be requested.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in Washington, DC (or eligibility for admission).
Certifications:
- Admission to the DC Bar preferred.
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of antitrust law, including merger control, civil litigation, and government investigations.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Experience drafting and reviewing litigation documents.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
