About Role

Critchfield Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer who is looking to continue to grow their career in mechanical engineering to join the team. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, conducting load calculations, and duct pipe design. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the engineering field and a desire to work in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

1. Perform heating and cooling load calculations and design layout of duct/piping systems.
2. Assist senior-level engineers with project tasks, project management, and cost tracking.
3. Proficient with drawings, specifications, building codes, and mechanical industry standards.
4. Perform equipment selections, layout, and generate material and equipment submittals.
5. Interact and communicate with field personnel to resolve field issues and ensure the installation meets the project schedule/cost estimates.
6. Provide and execute project deliverables such as permit plans, specifications, and LEED documentation.
7. Ability to estimate a project and generate a proposal.
8. Complete project closeout documentation.
9. Build and maintain relationships with CMI clients and sub-contractors.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional partners across all stages of the project with professionalism.
11. Meet project deadlines and deliverables.

Education/Experience

1. Bachelor’s Degree in related field required - Mechanical Engineering preferred.
2. 3-5 years of experience in commercial and industrial mechanical contracting.
3. Strong knowledge in project management, estimating, and design.
4. REVIT & BIM experience a plus.
5. Proficient in engineering fundamentals.
6. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
7. PE license or EIT certification a plus, but not required.
