Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our team in Thousand Oaks, CA . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Plaintiff Personal Injury (PI) cases, handling 5-15 cases at a time , and will be highly proficient with technology and AI tools to enhance efficiency in legal processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys handling Plaintiff Personal Injury cases.
  • Manage case files, court filings, and legal documentation with attention to detail.
  • Coordinate scheduling, depositions, client meetings, and trial preparation .
  • Draft, proofread, and edit legal correspondence, pleadings, and reports.
  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings when needed.
  • Utilize AI-powered legal technology to streamline tasks and enhance workflow.
  • Maintain and update case management software and electronic filing systems .
  • Communicate with clients, medical providers, and court personnel professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensure all deadlines and compliance requirements are met.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary (preference for candidates with longevity in a firm).
  • Strong background in Plaintiff Personal Injury law .
  • Tech-savvy with experience using AI-driven legal tools, case management software, and e-filing systems .
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal document formatting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and case management.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in AI-powered legal research and automation tools .
  • Familiarity with state and federal court procedures .
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred but not required).
