Lead Residential Solar Designer – Seattle, Washington (Hybrid)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Residential Solar Designer to oversee the design and technical aspects of residential solar photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage systems (ESS). The role will focus on optimizing system performance, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and meeting project deadlines. This is a hybrid role, with at least two days per week required in the office.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in residential solar PV system design.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, photovoltaic systems, and relevant codes.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., PVsyst, Aurora Solar, Helioscope, AutoCAD, SketchUp).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, and G Suite.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, renewable energy, or a related field.
• NABCEP Certification.
• Hands-on experience with solar PV installation.
• Experience with commercial solar design is a plus.
