Position Summary: The
Director of Human Resources directs and oversees all operations within the Human Resources function. The Director of HR is responsible for the development and execution of the overall Human Resources strategy with a focus on administrative excellence, recruitment, engagement, and development. The role develops and implements organizational human resources policies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legislation (including EEO, FMLA, and FLSA), directs recruiting and onboarding for new employees, develops and deploys training and career development programs, drives the overall Special-Lite engagement strategy, approves salary structures or wage schedules, and negotiates benefits packages. Evaluates and selects HR-related vendors or service providers.

- Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination.
- Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function in collaboration with senior management.

Position Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Business Management or related field, or equivalent experience is required.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of human resource and/or administration, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in executing recruitment, engagement, and development strategies.
- HR Policy and Procedure & Labor and Employment Law (NLRB, EEO, ADA, AA, FMLA, etc.) knowledge
- Recruiting and staffing practices.
- PHR/SHRM-CP certification or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements: - Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate office equipment, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to talk and hear.
- Frequently required to sit for long periods of time.
- Required to occasionally stand and walk.
- Occasionally required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 10-pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: - Safety glasses are always required on the production floor.
- Hearing protection is required in designated areas.
- Occasionally subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electric current and exposure to heat and chemicals.
- Occasionally subject to conditions including one or more of the following that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, or poor ventilation.
- Occasionally exposed to cold, hot, wet and/or humid shop conditions.
