Architect, Microsoft Location: Saint John, Fredericton The Architect, Microsoft will lead and oversee all design and technology decisions that impact Microsoft Services technology. They will be mandated to ensure that technology decisions are in line with JD Irving strategy.
Reporting to the Director, Microsoft Services, they will be working extensively with the JDI technologist to help facilitate and guide them through the creation and execution of their technology roadmaps lifecycle. As such, the successful candidate must have a thorough technical understanding of the Microsoft Systems including D365, M365, Copilot, Power Platform and Sharepoint .
The primary day to day accountabilities of this person are: - Provide leadership in assessing current applications to ensure they meet the current and future business needs
- Selection of application solutions for our companies ensuring they meet the objectives of the business
- Ensure the application architecture is aligned with the enterprise architecture standards and guidelines
- Provide Current State, Transition State, and Future State artifacts for application assets
- Participate in the development of enabling strategies
- Provide expertise on application architecture principles, approaches and best practices
- Identify and manage metrics needed to provide effective application portfolio management
- Provide guidance to Instance Strategy decisions for Enterprise Applications
- Working with the IT Application owners, define the appropriate integration patterns needed for each application
- Ensure that application solutions meet the security needs of the organization
- Provide leadership in application cost management by understanding cost drivers of applications and providing effective management techniques
You Have: - A University Degree in Computer Science or Diploma in Technology
- 10+ years' hands on technical experience with Microsoft Applications
- TOGAF certified
- ITIL certified

- Organized, analytical and business savvy
- Technically inclined, process oriented and driven by a natural curiosity
- A continuous learner: acquiring new skills and software applications is second nature
