This position, reporting to the VP of Finance will be responsible for Output's financial transactions, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of monthly close and financial reporting. This role also requires the proactive identification and implementation of process improvements leveraging data and systems. You will have outstanding partnership and communication skills, prioritize multiple initiatives, as well as the ability to deal with the ambiguity that comes in a fast-growing organization.
How you'll add value:- Accounts Payable Management - record invoices and maintain effective communications with outside vendors, ensure all vendor profiles are accurately managed from W-9 documentation to payment histories; Process employee related expense reports; Sync and reconcile data from bill pay platform to QuickBooks Online; Prepare and file year end tax documentation.
- Record bank auto-pay payments, bank charges, and interest income.
- Collaborate with the People team to process and review payroll journal entries and reconcile the related accounts.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliation, including operating cash accounts, credit card accounts, and investment accounts.
- Post monthly, quarterly and fiscal year-end close journal entries (including spend accruals, capex, deferred rent, stock based compensation, etc.).
- Prepare documentation and compile reports for the annual audit.
- Provide analytical support for various corporate and statutory tax filings.
- Continuously review current standard operating procedures and implement improvements to optimize for efficiency and accuracy.
- Leverage technology and industry best practices to ensure our financial operations are of excellent quality.
What you'll need to be successful in this role:- 3+ years of combined experience, including roles at a leading accounting firm and in operational accounting within a corporate environment
- Certified Public Accountant accreditation required
- Experience with or willingness to learn about consumer SaaS business modelsrequired
- Experience working with subscription and/or finance/accounting data (ERPs, billing systems, payments vendors, etc.)
- Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Capable of communicating complex information in an easy to understand format. Able to interact comfortably with cross functional leadership.
- This role is for doers; be able to get into the details and get the job done while at the same time being able to see the forest through the trees
- Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization in remote, fast paced and a highly collaborative environment with a start-up mentality

- In accordance with California law, the salary range for this role if filled within Los Angeles is $70,000 - $110,00. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law
