Job Description:

Metas Solutions has an "immediate" opening for an experienced Financial Analyst to work Remotely. The Financial Analyst will have strong analytical skills. The Contractor shall provide a clear and systematic approach to financial management, tracking, and reporting as required to achieve client's objectives. As organizational refinements are implemented, the Contractor shall define roles and responsibilities, establish standard tools, and institute common processes that contribute to standardize and streamline process execution. Will also defined processes and procedures design to streamline support services and aid transparency and execution are critical to continued effective operations as legacy financial management systems that are being replaced.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of spend plans and status of funds trackers for each office review spending patterns by projects, object classes, and leadership priorities and objectives.
  • Assess the financial management team structure to evaluate and determine if the people, processes, and policies in place are best suited for the Office.
  • Develop and maintain resources (e.g., standard operating procedures (SOPs), manuals, templates, guidance, reports) over the course of the budget lifecycle to document existing financial management tasks and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Establish standard tools and processes and provide support to ensure the Office maintains processes necessary to provide timely reporting.
  • Provide implementation support and guidance to respond to Agency-level changes (e.g., acquisition processes, policies, interagency agreements) related to financial management.
  • Perform requested analyses of initiatives such as evaluating costs, benefits, and risks, comparing against industry benchmarks and alternative solutions.
  • Provide coordination and support to annual budget and rate development processes and consumption reports.
  • Provide coordination of, and support for, development and tracking of budget formulation, execution, and performance evaluation and reporting activities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or relevant field and 6+ years' experience or Master's Degree and 1+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
