Global Program ManagerThe Global Program Manager (GPM) will be responsible for managing overall program cost, product cost, schedule performance, including risk and opportunity management, and all other customer and internal commitments. The GPM will oversee global sites' progress and serve as the main point of contact (POC) for customer interactions during the development process
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Responsible for program cost, product cost, and schedule for engineering development programs from prototype to full qualification. This will include defining the high-level strategy with the Business Unit Leaders (BUL)
• Create and own Statement of Work (SOW) and Design and Development Plan (DDP)
• Develop, manage and maintain a detailed deliverable based project schedule in conjunction with the site-level project managers to ensure work products are delivered as planned and that cross-site dependencies are flagged and monitored within a specific program. Will define work product expectations for each site within a program, and any resource needs and inter-site dependencies
• Clearly define site specific scope documents to each development/manufacturing site that role into a higher level program level scope document.
• Participate in program reviews with internal leadership, customers (as needed), and be able to communicate program status, needs and dependencies concisely and effectively
• Establish communication and reporting mechanisms for efficient global communications and accountability
• Participate in proposal preparation, developing estimates and soliciting and reviewing inputs from cross-functional teams
• Support site level resource managers to ensure appropriate resource allocation to meet program goals and milestones
• Develop, manage and maintain a risk and opportunity register in conjunction; responsible for soliciting, understanding, validating and reviewing risks with cross-functional teams
• Able to work a flexible schedule as global programs, at times, will require early morning or evening meetings with international project teams
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Requirements:• A Bachelor's degree with at least ten (10) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree with seven (7) years of relevant experience.
• Strong level of knowledge in program management or operations management in medical device manufacturing
• Experience with ISO 13485 and FDA CFR 820 and the impacts to product design, project schedules and documentation requirements.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams on large, complex programs with concurrent design and production build activities.
• Experience collaborating with international project teams on global projects
• Ability to effectively influence and lead others in a matrix organization by proactively reviewing program progress and course-correcting teams, driving issues to closure
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluency in the English language
• PMP certification preferred
