Opportunity

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and knowledgeable HR Manager to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company and clients operate in full compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies pertaining to employment practices while contributing to their ongoing success.

We are looking for:
  • 5-7 years human resources experience.
  • Broad knowledge of human resource compliance on a multi-state and federal level.
  • Ability to communicate and interface effectively with clients, worksite employees, and team members.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Self-starter that can problem solve.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR compliance programs and policies to ensure adherence to federal, multi-state, and local employment laws.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations and laws related to employment practices and advise management and clients on necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of HR practices, procedures, and documentation to identify potential compliance gaps or violations. Provide recommendations for remediation.
  • Collaborate with HR team members and clients to effectively address compliance issues and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Prepares and submits annual EEO-1 reports to EEOC.
  • Create and maintain accurate HR compliance reports, metrics, and documentation.
  • Reviews and edits clients' and Sprit HR's employee handbooks and supervisor guidebooks and makes policy recommendations.
  • Manage and oversee the proper maintenance and organization of HR records and files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Keep up to date with PEO industry best practices and regulatory standards in HR compliance.
  • Collaborate with clients to manage and respond to employment-related issues, such as discrimination complaints, harassment allegations, or employee grievances.
  • Review and make recommendations to company and client employee handbooks to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations as well as HR best practices.
  • Develops client communication on HR requirements and trending HR topics.
  • Stays abreast of internal processes to ensure efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Supervises one direct report.
  • Serves as liaison and negotiates with third-party vendors for HR products and services.
  • Develops Spirit HR corporate HR strategies and policies.
  • Recruits, interviews, and assists with selecting team members to fill new and vacated corporate positions.
  • Identifies and monitors Sprit HR corporate culture to support company goals and promote employee satisfaction.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, HRCI) preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, with a strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, practices, and procedures, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and terminations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify compliance gaps and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively articulate compliance requirements to various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using HR information systems (HRIS) and other HR-related software applications.
  • An initial period of full-time in office may be required.
