Position Summary:
The Human Resource Manager will lead a Restorative Driven department which emphasizes respect, responsibility and self-awareness to ensure all voices within the company are welcomed, heard and valued. Leads the HR team, performing a variety of functions including recruitment process, employee relations, and regulatory compliance. Also works closely and proactively with all departments to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines, training and development.
Essential Functions:
- Lead a Restorative Driven Human Resources department
- Lead talent acquisition and recruitment process
- Ensure legal compliance of state and federal HR regulations and applicable employment laws, and develop and update policies and/or procedures as required
- Lead and provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
- Assist department managers, supervisors and leads with conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management
- Design and conduct new hire orientation; provide additional training as needed
- Explain HR policies, procedures, laws and standards to new and existing employees to ensure full understanding and maintain good will
- Evaluate and maintain company compliance with DOL, EEOC, EBSA, OFCC and DOT, and other local, city, state and federal agencies and regulations
- Ensure complete and accurate processing of all applicable pre-hire activities
- Assists in maintaining current DOT and non-DOT drug screening policies
- Assists in obtaining information and responding to workers comp, general liability and auto insurance claims
- Ability to convey Tiger Sanitation as the obvious choice for our customers, employees and community

Requirements and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of human resource management experience required
- HR management experience for mid-size company preferred. (250+ employees)
- Bilingual, preferred

Working Conditions
This position will primarily be in an office environment and occasional periods of non-climate-controlled settings all with extended periods of sitting, standing and using manual dexterity to operate company vehicles, equipment, and computer-based systems and to conduct inspections and trainings.
