Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant, Technical Trainer Lead / Training and Development Specialist to join our team in a variable-hour role. This role involves developing, updating, and delivering comprehensive training programs on Microsoft technologies, including M365 and Microsoft Power Platform components, to our workforce, client staff, and within the Office of Human Capital Engagement (OHCE). The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to assess training needs, create instructional materials, and ensure effective adoption and usage of these technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, customize, and deliver high-quality training programs on Microsoft technologies (M365, Microsoft Power Platform, etc.) tailored to different contracts and client needs.
  • Create and update training materials, including user guides, FAQs, e-learning modules, and instructor-led training (ILT) content, leveraging instructional design best practices.
  • Collaborate with various teams (including OHCE) to assess training needs, identify usability gaps, and gather information through interviews, surveys, and focus groups.
  • Conduct training sessions in various formats, including in-person, virtual, and blended learning environments, adapting delivery methods to meet the varying levels of expertise among users.
  • Manage and maintain training and video libraries, ensuring all content is up-to-date, accurate, accessible, and tailored to the target audience's needs.
  • Assess training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics; continuously update and improve training materials based on user feedback and evolving technology.
  • Stay current with Microsoft technologies and obtain new certifications as needed to maintain expertise in the latest tools and platforms.
  • Ensure all training programs and materials align with business, project objectives, and timelines, presenting training plans for approval by project teams.
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-up training to ensure continued adoption and proficiency across teams.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Education, Human Resources, or a related field required.
  • 7+ years of related experience in technical training, federal contracting, and professional services environment.
  • Proven experience in training development, instructional design, and training delivery, particularly in a technical environment.
  • Certifications below are Required:
    • Relevant Microsoft Certifications
      • Azure Fundamentals (AZ 900)
      • Power Platform Fundamentals
      • Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals

Skills:
  • Strong understanding of M365 and Microsoft Power Platform components.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency with training tools and technologies, including learning management systems (LMS) and virtual training platforms.
  • Experience in managing training content libraries, including video libraries, and a proactive approach to addressing training challenges.

Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a variable-hour role.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and requirements across multiple contracts.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $140,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
