We're looking for a motivated
People Operations/HR Lead to partner with our leadership, managers, and employees on matters relating to performance management, employee relations, compliance and more.
We are open to applicants from different levels; the role title/level/compensation will be based on experience.The role will report into either the VP of Finance/Ops or the Head of Talent, based on level. This is a fast paced individual contributor role where success is dependent on working collaboratively, being solutions oriented, and maintaining a sense of urgency to hit our goals as a team.
Responsibilities- Help all colleagues bring their best self to work and perform at the highest level
- Work with Head of Talent to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Evolve and implement employee career and leveling frameworks that support pay equity in line with the company's compensation philosophy
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing challenges or other issues
- Oversee, develop, and implement a performance management philosophy, approach & system
- Collaborate with operations team to build a vibrant company culture in our New York HQ and globally
- Ensure legal compliance throughout HR and company operations, and escalate legal matters appropriately
- Contribute to strategy and deployment of compensation, benefits and incentive programs
Requirements- 4-10+ years of experience working in HR preferably in fast growing early stage environments
- Ability to navigate challenging situations e.g. a person not a good fit for their role
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and databases
- Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- In-depth knowledge of legal side of HR
Axion Ray is based in New York, New York with a headquarters in Williamsburg and the team works in a hybrid capacity. This role is expected to work in-office at least 4 days weekly.
