Robert Half Legal is recruiting an Employment Law Litigator for a boutique firm on the Peninsula that represents entrepreneurs and founders, emerging technology companies and established large employers, as well as senior-level management. The firm's practitioners are top AmLaw 100 law firm trained attorneys and the practice specializes in counseling on complex, unique, and high stakes employment litigation and workplace investigations.
The firm is looking for 1-8+ year practitioner with L& E or commercial litigation experience. The attorney applicant should have strong analytical, writing, and oral argument skills, efficient case management experience, good academic and law firm employment record, and be passionate about advocacy and analyzing thorny, novel legal matters.
For a full-time attorney, the salary range offered is $150,000 - 300,000+/yr, DOE. The firm is also open to hiring a part-time counsel at a very competitive hourly rate. Bonus program is in place, including for matter origination and work on some of the firm's plaintiff-side cases on behalf of highly paid executives. Employment benefits package offered and flexible with telecommuting.

Requirements
- First-rate academic credentials and references
- Desire to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling client matters, and adhering to strict deadlines
- General familiarity with federal courts
- General familiarity with witnesses
- Earlier work involving discovery
- Hands-on experience with employment litigation
- Comprehension of employer employment law
- Deep understanding of boutique law firm
- Arbitration experience desired
- Adeptness in commercial litigation
- Practical knowledge of state courts
- Demonstrated knowledge of trial experience
- Civil litigation experience
- Foundational knowledge in termination letters
- Top-tier law experience highly desired
- Plaintiff litigation experience is a plus
- Defense litigation experience preferred
- Legal research experience preferred
- Employment discrimination experience highly valued
- Proficiency in settlement negotiation
- Good understanding of discrimination - EEOC cases
- Prior experience with workplace investigations is a plus
- Client relations experience highly desired
- Command of bar admission
- Background working on demurrers
- Legal writing experience desired
- Demonstrated knowledge of counseling
- Experience with employee employment law
- Previous experience working with drafting motions
- Adeptness in trial preparation
- Licensed attorney with 5+ years of experience
- Must possess analytical, legal research and writing skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
