CORPORATE PROGRAM MANAGER - MACHINE LEARNING and VISION SYSTEMS.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Capable of performing the following manufacturing machine learning and visions systems engineering functions:
- Design and optimize image acquisition manufacturing equipment systems, including camera selection, optic lens selection, lighting, and calibration techniques.
- Experience with integrating machine learning and visions manufacturing equipment systems into the manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot for machine vision-related manufacturing equipment issues.
- Experience with Phoenix PC Works, Inderbus, Devicenet, RS View, Control Logix, and general vision systems such as Cognex, Keyence, etc., and proficient with Microsoft Office Tools.
- Manage multiple engineering projects that support plant operations.
- These projects will range from process improvements to development and installation of new tooling.
- Teach, lead, and continuously improve all areas of the business.
- Interface with all aspects of operations including quality, materials, and maintenance
Ability to be flexible. - Understand CLI operations (Sequencing/sub-assembly, shipping and receiving).
Interface with CLI plant liaisons on a daily basis regarding any issues. - Project management experience to include defining scope of each projects, project team resources, and reporting out on progress.
- Follow and improve the CLI business systems.
- Ability to work well, develop, and lead in a team environment.
- Partner closely with engineering to ensure continuity.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Controls, or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of five (5+) years of experience and demonstrated success as a Manufacturing/Machine Learning/Visions Engineer in an Automotive Manufacturing or Assembly Facility.
- Experience with Emerging Technologies to include Vision Systems, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Internet of Things.
- PMP certification is highly preferred.
- Experience in training others is highly desired.
- Understanding and experience of assembly, tooling, equipment, and ROBOTICS.
- Tier 1 automotive experience is required.
- Sub-assembly and Sequencing experience are required.
- Start-Up, Equipment Installation and Launch experience required. Facilitate activities associated with New Product Launches between the company and customers various function teams i.e., Quality, Materials, Manufacturing, Production and Engineering.
- Experience with AutoCAD preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing, Process and Continuous Improvement experience is required.
- Ability to travel 50% (+) based on business needs, providing multi-location support.
