Description The Missiles & Aviation Solutions Division, within the Defense Systems Sector at Leidos, currently has an opportunity for a
Senior Project Manager to work at our Huntsville, AL campus providing support to a variety of programs related to missile systems and unmanned aircraft. This is a dynamic opportunity in which a Program Manager can thrive working on a diverse array of multidisciplinary projects in the airborne systems arena. We are seeking a highly motivated, trained, and talented Program Manager to foster advanced technology programs from the research and development phase to full productization.
As an intricate member of the team, you will perform management functions for the project team involved with design and development of manned and unmanned aircraft systems and payloads, including third party payload integration, and missile and munition system development. You will have the responsibility for planning, coordinating, tracking, and executing complex tasks within technical, schedule, and budget constraints.
These projects will involve diverse technology areas including electrical and hardware design and fabrication, EO/IR sensors, artificial intelligence/machine learning, navigation and control of air vehicle systems, and flight testing.
Basic Qualifications- A Bachelor's degree in Program/Project Management or Engineering/Engineering Management and 15 years of experience in Project Management type roles is required; or a Master's degree and 13 years' experience.
- Must have a strong technical background as well as verbal and written skills
- Must be a proven leader with good organizational skills, attention to detail and work well as a leading member of a team
- Demonstrated experience in the following areas:
- Government Program Office in a resident capacity (Military or Government Civilian position, will possibly accept SETA experience)
- DoD Acquisition training
- Systems Engineering
- Design and Verification Process
- Subcontract Management/Oversight
- Cost estimating and Budget management
- Organizational/IPT development
- Leading a team, including subcontractors
- Developing a Work Breakdown Structure
- Developing Integrated Master Schedule
- Risk identification and management
- Performance Reporting
Other Experience/Qualifications- Earned Value Management
- Transitioning programs from development to production/sustainment
- Leading Proposal Teams/Proposal experience
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
- PMP Certification and experience working in an Agile development/Rapid Prototyping environment are a plus.

or willing to relocate.
Security RequirementsCandidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance and meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance.

Pay Range: Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
