WHAT YOU WILL DO:The Assistant Controller oversees the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Job duties include:
- Manage the weekly and monthly closing and reporting processes.
- Complete all related journal entries, eliminations and multi company consolidations to ensure a proper monthly close, account reconciliations accurately and timely, and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to shareholders, management, and lenders.
- Prepare, review, and examine the reporting package, consisting of income statements, balance sheet, cash flow statements, statement of member equity, and other reports.
- Assist with banking duties, such as setting up wires and ACH's.
- Enforce company policies regarding authorities to execute transactions.
- Develop and enforce internal control and audit program.
- Manage the financial statement audit, auto reimbursement program, chart of accounts, and foreign currency translations and revaluation.
- Conduct evaluations and training for the accounting department.
- Assist with tax returns preparation.
- Ad hoc financial assessments.
- Prepare census data.
- Perform special projects for the Controller and CFO, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Specific Measures of Job Performance:
- Timely distribution of financial reporting package, accurate recording of all costs and expenses, account assessment, and reconciliation of General Ledger accounts.
- Enforcement of company policies.
- Ability to provide analyses which drive profit improvement.
YOUR MUST HAVES: - Must be 18 years of age.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial reporting, with demonstrated experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
- Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of effectively managing teams and driving results.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:- CPA or equivalent certification.
- Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Microsoft D365 experience and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with companies >$500 million in revenue.
- Financial Reporting, Monthly Closing, Financial Controls, Account Reconciliations, and Systems Implementations experience.
OUR ENVIRONMENT:This position is a hybrid position based, in part, in the Corporate Headquarters consisting of a traditional office setting and a combination of your professional home office. This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time while working on a computer.
