Project Manager Phoenix AZ Job Description Develops, maintains, and revises proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing. Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.
Primary Responsibilities: - Manages multiple middle to large-sized projects, including some complex projects
- Leads planning and/implementation of projects
- Manages projects based on repeatable standards and practices where possible, but also may require defining new approaches
- Participates in the design and/or testing phases
- Facilitates the definition of project missions, goals, tasks and resource requirements
- Resolves or assists in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas
- Develops methods to monitor project or area progress and takes corrective action
- Manages project budget and resource allocation
- Coordinates the definition of service levels and customer requirements
- Works cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes
- Follows defined, agreed upon project management methodologies
- Proactively and routinely identified, mitigates and reports project risks
Skills Required Knowledge: - Considerable working knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
- Proficiency with Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
- Considerable knowledge of technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods and disciplines
- Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps, MS Project or equivalent planning and project tracking tools
- Considerable knowledge of interrelationships among various internal & external organizational functions
