Security Integration AdvisorReporting to the Director of Corporate Security (J.D. Irving Limited (
JDI)) and working closely with the Manager, Security Services (JDI Corporate Security) and the Manager, Industrial Compliance (Irving Shipbuilding Inc. (
ISI)), the
Security Integration Advisor will be accountable for ensuring the close integration and efficient delivery of all security requirements applicable to ISI's execution of new-build and repair programs within the scope of JDI Corporate Security. This role will:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of all physical, personnel, supply chain, cyber, and related security requirements applicable to all new-build and ship repair programs, with a focus on those applicable to the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) program as it transitions from design to construction.
- Participate in meetings with Canada pertaining to security requirements to ensure alignment across ISI and JDI business functions consistent with ISI's cost and schedule commitments to Canada.
- Develop, implement, and execute a Production Security Management Plan and related deliverables associated with ISI's delivery of the CSC program.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and execution of ISI's Cybersecurity Management Plan, Supply Chain Security Management Plan, Business Continuity Plan, and other similar plans and processes, ensuring alignment and integration with JDI Corporate Security.
- Advise and regularly interface with the System Security Engineering Team on various security-related matters relevant to the design and construction of the CSC.
- Ensure the efficient and robust delivery by JDI Corporate Security of all security requirements for ISI's facilities, including personnel security screening, physical security, security infrastructure, information security, and insider threat assessment.
- Liaise with key partner agencies to advance JDI and ISI security objectives.
- Develop a trusted relationship with JDI's and ISI's senior management teams and act as the main point of contract for all security integration matters.
Qualifications would include:
- 10+ years' experience in a related field (Defence, Security, Intelligence industries)
- Master's degree is preferred
- Previous working relationship with the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) would be an asset
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to present to the highest level of the organization and groups across/outside the organization
