Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain systems and services that automate the ingestion, storage, and retrieval of our healthcare price transparency dataset. These systems are fundamental to our comprehensive data portfolio.
- Prototype user experiences and APIs for our products, collaborating with our team to transition prototypes into robust customer-facing features.
- Contribute to defining the product engineering roadmap and architecture for our company, while also documenting processes to support our growth.
- Stay updated on advancements in healthcare technology to inform our product development strategy.
RequirementsRequirements: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a software product development role.
- Proficiency in Go (or another compiled/typed language) along with experience with Postgres and Git.
- Knowledge of the Amazon AWS stack (EKS, EC2/ECS, RDS, S3, etc) and cloud-based infrastructure monitoring tools like Datadog.
- Understanding of container execution environments such as Docker and Kubernetes in cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and thrive in a dynamic team environment.
- Passion for improving affordability and transparency in the US healthcare market.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus): - Familiarity with Node.js primitives (streams, emitters, async).
- Experience working with healthcare billing, coding, pricing, medical claims, or explanation of benefits data.
- Proficiency in handling massive datasets and building high-performance systems at scale (data sizes 1TB+, 200BB rows/mo).
- Previous experience in roles involving direct interaction with customers.
