About the Role
You will be part of a software development team developing and supporting leading products. This includes the collection of tolls and the associated operations for a number of the country's largest tolling agencies.
Responsibilities
- Managing a landscape of diverse technology platforms spanning ERP, custom applications and modern micro services-based apps.
- Guiding the team in delivering new capabilities as well as ensure current business operations continue to work seamlessly.
- Collaborating with multiple teams (IT Engineering, Product Management, Business operations) to solve business challenges.
- Planning and prioritizing engineering efforts that align with organizational goals.
- Coaching and managing high-performance engineering team of individual contributors and managers who are deeply technical, dynamic, agile, dedicated and innovative.
- Managing onsite, offshore and vendor teams.
- Maintaining knowledge in electronic toll collection, back office and transaction processing systems.
- Managing delivery by applying delivery models like Automation, Agile process, and DevOps.
- Coordinating customers and project teams.
- Managing resource staffing, capacity maintenance and hiring based on project requirements.
- Reviewing and approving the estimates for the change orders.
- Setting goals and reviewing performance for the team.
- Approving time entry for the team.
- Preparing various project related metrices such as project status, CMMI metrics, etc.,
- Managing delivery by applying delivery models like automation, agile process and DevOps.
- Resolving technical and functional blocks.
- Coordinating projects between help desk, triage and development teams.
- Managing vendor project teams.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or related field.
- 15+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Experience in transportation industry such as tolling or transit
- Experience in transportation domain, call center operations and financial processing
- Experience with other CRM products, preferable Siebel or MS Dynamics.
- Experience in cloud technologies, preferable Azure
- Experience with SQL databases, preferably Oracle
- Experience in high-volume, transaction processing productions systems
- Deep understanding of data architecture, industry standards, and best practices.
- Ability to clearly and concisely document architectural diagrams, technical proposals, and research results
- Object oriented analysis, design and programming skills
- Experience with a recognized software development lifecycle methodology
- Good interpersonal skills in order to interface successfully with an onshore project manager, clients and office personnel
- Creative problem-solving skills

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $131,250 - $170,500.
