Job DescriptionSenior Technical Proposal Writer - TollingAre you a dynamic technical writer in Tolling ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role?
About the Role:As a Senior Technical Proposal Writer for the Transportation Proposal Development Center, you will provide technical content for tolling proposals. You will collaborate with sales and technical experts to describe the solution and write responses for technical sections of the proposal. You will also participate in proposal review process and recover technical sections for final submission as part of a structured procurement process.
Responsibilities: - Write compliant, persuasive, and articulate proposal text for tolling collection industry solutions.
- Interview and collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure proposal requirements and topics are appropriately addressed.
- Analyze information acquired and convert technical and other complex concepts to easily understood content for proposal response.
- Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.
- Collaborate with Graphic Designers to develop and implement engaging graphics.
- Review and edit proposals for accuracy and consistency.
- Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and following schedule for reviews.
- Adhere to industry and corporate proposal-writing standards.
Requirements: - Requires extensive experience in working with state and local government solicitation documents such as RFP/RFIs.
- Must have experience in toll collection industry with large roadside tolling or transportation financial back-office systems.
- Experience interviewing technical subject matter experts and business/project managers, and in creating technical documents with 90% accuracy.
- Strong research, editing, and proofreading skills with minimum 7 years of technical writing experience.
- High proficiency in the English language.
- Portfolio of excellent and elegant technical writing samples a plus.
- Knowledge of the best proposal-writing practices in the industry and the ability to implement them.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, Master's Degree a plus.

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated base salary range for this role is $85,894 - $111,550.
