Job Requirements 2 years of unit experience Must be able to titrate drips Skill in reading and interpreting telemetry Adept at handling various RT equipment Capable of critical thinking, asking questions, and collaborating on care Schedule Information 12 hour shifts 36 hours guaranteed Shift types: 0630-1830, 1830-0630 Schedule created based on unit needs Every other weekend required Holiday requirement: Every other or as necessary Floating to all inpatient units, excluding Maternity/NICU Orientation: 2 shifts of unit/department specific Unit Specific Information Department: Med Surg ICU RN 34 beds in the unit Typical nurse to patient ratios: 1:1-2 for ICU, 1:4 for PCU Common diagnoses/patients: Adults and Peds >15 years, various conditions including respiratory and renal failure Charge nurses present and participate in codes and RRTs Nurse aids/patient care techs onboard with a ratio of 1:18 Uniform: Navy Blue scrubs Additional Details Fast-paced unit with volume flex due to being primary tertiary hospital for the system Attributes for success: positive attitude, willingness to help, critical thinking, personable Team environment for high-quality care and collaboration Radius Rule: 50 miles, restrictions on employment with associated facilities RTO needed upfront, no additional RTO after submission
