Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to determine diagnoses and treatment plans in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes for patients.
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy based on best practices and evidence-based approaches.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and support for clients.
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with regulations and ethical standards.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited institution.
- Current board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry.
- Valid medical license in the state of practice.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical psychiatry, including medication management and therapy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines in all patient interactions.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
