Certification Details Certs: BLS Job Details A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Home Health LVN for a travel contract. The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, and CA License. Job Requirements 2 full years of experience Hold an active BLS Hold an active CA License Schedule Information Hours are flexible, usually M-F 8am-5pm, with a 1 hr lunch Every 3rd weekend - when they work the weekend they can have a day off the week before and after if wanted Schedule is 5pm-8am when on call Call is usually required 2-4x per month for the weekdays Unit Specific Information Floor specific orientation: 1.5 - 2 weeks Common diagnosis / Types of patients: pt infusions, IV antibiotics, TPN, central lines, PICC lines, blood draws They may have to do infusions for peds, if the visit is related to pediatric condition they will be sent to ER for evaluation, most/if not all of pt population is not peds. Additional Details Unit: Home Health Patient load is based on productivity, usually about 5 visits per day, admission is usually equivalent to two patients EMR: Netsmart which was formerly known as Allscripts They may have to take call They will work into holiday rotation Any scrub color
