Job DetailsJob LocationDental Campus - Santa Rosa, CAPosition TypeFull TimeDescriptionUnder the supervision of the Dental Practice Manager, the Dental Sterilization Technician is responsible for cleanliness, working condition and sterility of all instruments, materials and supplies used in the Dental Program. The Dental Sterilization Technician is also responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, repair, spore testing and logs of all equipment used to meet all Infection Control Protocol, OSHA and Universal Precautions for the safety of all staff and patients. Under the supervision of the Dental Practice Manager and the Lead Dental Assistant the Sterilization Tech maintains a list of needed supplies and materials for the ongoing needs of the Dental Program. Salary Range: $21.00-$24.75 DOESPECIFIC TASKS/DUTIES:Maintains, bags, dates and sterilizes all instruments used in the Dental Clinic.Organizes and stores all instruments and materials in a clear and functional manner.Prepares tray and set up for various dental procedures.Ensures availability of all dental materials and supplies. Places all orders with appropriate vendors consistent with clinic's material needs for dental treatment.Maintains current Infection Control Protocol and OSHA standards through continuing education programs and informs staff of changes.Participates in ongoing training.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsExperience in the dental field preferred.Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.High school diploma or GED certificate.Must obtain CPR (BLS) certification by attending first available class offered by SRCH.Sufficient knowledge of dental terms and dental office experience preferred.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Requires a comprehensive knowledge of primary dental care in outpatient settings.Has a basic understanding of dental procedures.
