Summary:The VITA Intake Specialist is responsible for assuring every client is aware of all services available to them and are seen in a timely manner. The Clerical Intake Specialist also oversees client sign-in and assists clients in the completion of the client intake sheet at their assigned site.Position Responsibilities:*Must pass the Standards of Conduct and Intake & Quality Review test per IRS standards*Greets clients in a courteous manner upon arrival and departure*Respond to clients' general inquiries*Connects client to a certified tax expert for any tax inquiries*Enter clients' information onto the Charity Tracker Account daily*Maintains and keeps the assigned area in an orderly manner*Light lifting and record keeping*Provide clients with an Intake FormPrepares client file for tax preparationEnsures the site has adequate materials to operate properly and/or restock as necessaryOther duties as assigned by the Program Director/supervisor.Competencies:Customer ServiceCommunicationIntegrity / HonestyInterpersonal AwarenessFocusRequirementsMinimum Qualifications:Education High School diploma or GED Experience At least 1 year of customer service experience License and Credentials Reliable transportation Valid driver's license or Valid Identification Card Valid vehicle insurance Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Minimum Knowledge and Skills:Minimum of 1-year experience in:o Computer skillso Proficient in Microsoft Office (outlook, excel, word, access, PowerPoint)Must be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and work well independently and on a teamMust maintain professionalism in the workplaceMust have good verbal skillsMust have a clean driving recordTravel Requirements:Travel requirements for the position include 0 % local and 0 % overnightDisclaimer: This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, efforts or working conditions associated with the job.
