Civil Project Engineer / Designer (Land Development)

In response to strategic growth, we are currently seeking a Civil Project Engineer for our Markham office. The successful candidate will be working with our Civil Engineering Team and must have the ability to work with both senior and junior staff within our urban development Land Engineering Team. Responsibilities include project coordination, client and municipal liaison, and completion of engineering designs and studies.
Working within our Design & Engineering teams, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening public places that bring people together.

We work with our clients around the world to create, support, and enhance smart, safe, and sustainable places where people live, work, learn, and thrive. Places impact the quality of people’s lives. Whether new homes, shops, workplaces, schools and hospitals, manufacturing, research and development facilities, or data and distribution centers, people and communities thrive when the spaces in which they live, work, move, and play are designed and managed in a way that best meets their needs.
Responsibilities:
- A part of technical staff with various project tasks including researching, compiling, and evaluating project data.
- Preparing technical reports such as Functional Servicing Reports and SWM reports.
- Performing design calculations for Storm, Sanitary, and Water.
- Coordination with GEC to meet deliverables with some CAD work on occasion.
- Potential site visits for data collection and observation.
- Complete other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
- P. Eng status or eligibility for registration with PEO.
- 5+ years proven professional experience in civil infrastructure/land development.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task, prioritize, and take direction.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Adapt well to continual change in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent in use of AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract.
- A commitment to excellence and high-quality work with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
