Location: Hybrid - 1 day per week on site in Ottawa, Toronto, or Montreal.
Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Software Developer in Test and ETL consultant for our client.
Tasks and Responsibilities Our client is looking to onboard a Software Developer in Test to ensure the quality and reliability of their software products. The Software Developer in Test with ETL will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and other QA professionals, to design, develop, implement, and execute automated test scripts. Their focus will be on validating the functionality of applications, identifying defects, and contributing to the overall improvement of our software development processes.
Scope of Work Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium Webdriver using Test NG, Cucumber frameworks, Rest Sharp, TOSCA using TBox and classic frameworks) for APIs, Platform and UI software components.
Create and execute test cases for functional, regression, integration, API testing and performance testing.
Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
Participate in test planning sessions to define test scope, objectives, and acceptance criteria.
Identify areas suitable for automation and prioritize test cases for automation.
Develop and maintain test data and test environments.
Document defects clearly, including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual outcomes.
Work closely with development teams to ensure timely defect resolution.
Execute automated test suites as part of each software release cycle.
Investigate and troubleshoot test failures.
Contribute to the overall quality assurance strategy.
The Software Developer in Test may have to execute manual test scripts where automation is not an option.
Mandatory Requirements Undergraduate degree in a related field, such as computer science, software engineering, business administration.
Minimum 3 years relevant professional experience in quality assurance, software testing, software development, business analysis.
Minimum security clearance of Reliability.
This position can be filled in Ottawa, Montreal or Toronto and will be hybrid (4 days a month onsite).
