ABOUT MAPLE
Founded in 2015, Maple is a fast-growing health tech company with a vision to power the future of healthcare by building a connected and superior experience for patients, doctors, and other types of health providers.
We offer virtual care services across multiple distribution channels, including Direct-to-Consumer ("B2C"), Employers and Private Insurers ("B2B") and Public Sector Institutions ("B2I"). With a growing network of 2,000+ healthcare providers and nearly 4 million Canadians with access to our services, Maple is one of Canada’s fastest-growing virtual care companies.
We have established an entrepreneurial culture centered around our purpose to support people’s health and well-being, and to strengthen the healthcare system. We attribute our success to our team, who has helped us achieve numerous noteworthy awards including: LinkedIn's Top 10 Startups, Deloitte Canada’s Technology Fast 50, Globe & Mail's Top Growing Companies in Canada, North America’s Inspiring Workplaces, and Glory Professional’s The Power 50: Canada’s Most Impactful Companies.
THE POSITION
In support of a high-growth mandate, we’re hiring for the position of Senior Product Manager to join our dynamic Product team.
As we scale our virtual care platform, your role as Senior Product Manager will be focused on Provider Experience and Clinical Support Operations. In this high-visibility position, you will play a key part in driving our growth strategy, as we aim to deliver best-in-class virtual care experiences for both providers and patients. Leading a dedicated squad of Designers and Engineers, you'll be tasked with optimizing critical care delivery processes, including lab and diagnostic imaging, specialist referrals, and prescriptions, ensuring seamless operations and delivering exceptional user experiences.
Critical to success in this role will be your strategic acumen, coupled with a deep proficiency in user research, data analysis, problem-solving, and requirements definition. You are a user-centric, data-savvy team player who thrives on collaborating closely with fellow product managers, business stakeholders, designers, and engineers. Resilient and collaborative by nature, you possess the ability to manage complexity and navigate a fast-paced environment to deliver meaningful results.
Note: Healthcare-related experience is not a requirement for this position but experience in healthcare, especially working with healthcare providers or systems, Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), or integrating with healthcare systems, is considered an asset.
12 – 18 MONTH DELIVERABLES
To realize the company’s growth mandate, within the first 90 days, you will immerse yourself in Maple's product ecosystem, company culture, and strategic objectives. Your immediate focus will be on aligning with Maple's Operational Excellence strategic pillar and building essential relationships with your squad and key internal stakeholders. You will collaborate with these stakeholders to define the roadmap for the next quarter and execute on current quarter priorities alongside your team.
In the next 12 to 18 months, you'll collaborate closely with stakeholders and your squad to drive enhancements in Provider Network Health KPIs, elevating both provider and patient experiences. You'll achieve this by executing initiatives outlined in your squad's roadmap, which you've contributed to shaping based on Maple's overarching strategy, valuable feedback, and insightful data analysis. Additionally, you will contribute to enhancing product lifecycle processes, from initial research and prioritization through to development and launch, thereby streamlining operations and maximizing efficacy.
CANDIDATE PROFILE The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Product Management experience gained in B2C and/or B2B SaaS organizations selling complex SaaS products.. Experience working at high-growth companies with under 500 employees is considered an asset.
While healthcare-related experience is not mandatory, experience in healthcare, especially working with healthcare providers or systems, electronic medical records (EMRs), or integrating with healthcare systems, is considered an asset.
It is also preferred if the candidate has experience in delivering projects focused on stakeholders involved in operational processes, both internally and externally.
The candidate has strong knowledge and experience with software product development best practices, including discovery and Agile processes.
A resilient, open-minded and optimistic team player, the candidate has hands-on experience leading Agile squads, defining requirements, and collaborating with engineering teams and possesses the ability to overcome challenges and pivot quickly while inspiring others to operate at a high clock speed.
Utilizing a combination of strong execution with strategic thinking, the candidate has demonstrated success in bringing a software product from concept to launch, in partnership with key stakeholders such as marketing.
