What you'll be doing
As the Consultant, Business Development and Partnerships you will be responsible for supporting partnership opportunities, planning and building relationships with corporate partners and external vendors. You will liaise with Mortgage Advisors and their leadership team in order to reach broader business development activities for their communities. You will develop content and manage internal communications initiatives for the Mobile Advice Channel. You will also work directly with Product partners to develop a referral partner strategy for the business.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you'll succeed
Client Engagement: Support all national event activations (In person and virtual) by developing a unique theme for each event, and working closely with graphic designers to execute on the vision of ads, banners, event invites, swag, etc. Support the creation of marketing materials and sales presentations. Maintain strong vendor relationships. Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry partners.
Business Development and Strategy: Identify and recommend new business development activities to drive referral partner engagement. Contribute to strategic initiatives such as Partner Reward Program and Broker Reward Program. Maintain awareness of local events to propose recommendations of new business development opportunities.
Research and Reporting: Conduct in-depth market research, analyze performance and value added of events, while fostering relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally. Occasionally support Sr. Consultant with analyzing data and reporting to senior management regarding how business development activities are impacting conversion rates.

You can demonstrate a minimum of 2 years related experience: in Corporate Events, combined with an undergraduate degree. It’s an asset if you have a strong understanding of financial services environment and knowledge of the Canadian Mortgage industry.
