Job Title: Decedent Care RepJob Description
We are seeking a Decedent Care Rep to join our team. You will document activities and progress in electronic medical records, provide excellent customer service, promptly answer inquiries from hospital staff or patients families, and coordinate required paperwork with physicians and departments. This role is critical in supporting DUH's decedent care operations, handling 130-160 calls per month for deceased patients. All shifts include at least 2 employees. This is a 3-month contract with the opportunity to be extended and/or apply/interview for permanent vacancies. The position is 100% onsite with a work schedule of Monday-Friday from 8:00a-5:00p, with required weekend shifts every 5th week.
Hard Skills
+ 2+ years experience within healthcare (EMT, Paramedic, RN, Aides, CMA, CNA, etc.)
+ 2 or 4-year degree in Mortuary Science preferred but not required
+ Proficiency in documenting activities and progress in electronic medical records
Soft Skills
+ Ability to speak professionally, empathetically, and accurately
+ Detail-oriented

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Durham, North Carolina.
Work Environment
Candidates will work within our facilities and travel frequently by foot to various clinics. The position requires flexibility to cover a 3rd shift when staffing issues arise, although this is not mandatory. Candidates must be comfortable with a strictly 3-month contract, with the potential for permanent placement.
