Our client, a leading manufacturer in the chemical industry, is seeking a Packaging Operator to join their team. As a Packaging Operator, you will be part of the Packaging department supporting the Production team. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be a team player, and have a strong work ethic which will align successfully in the organization.nnJob Title: Packaging OperatornnLocation: St. Louis, MOnnPay Range: $20/hr. and 7% shift differentialnnWhat's the Job?nnStage, fill, cap, label, and over pack liquid, powder, and lyophilized products per approved packaging specifications and according to safety and quality protocols.nnComplete appropriate packaging documentation per FDA, ISO, and GMP procedures and deliver products to inventory.nnFill, cap, and label chemical products.nnUse electronic balances to properly weigh materials.nnManually fill liquids or powders.nnSet up and utilize semi-automated equipment to fill liquids or powders.nnPerform routine cleaning to semi-automated equipment.nnPerform fills in environmentally controlled areas.nnFill hazardous products.nnUtilize pumps to transfer bulk solutions.nnFilter bulk materials using pumps and in-line filters or vacuum filters.nnManually torque caps with wrenches.nnSet up and operate semi-automated cappers.nnHand label as necessary.nnSet up and operate automated labelers.nnAssist with loading bottles and pack-off during fill line operations.nnPack kits according to procedures.nnUse material handling equipment safely to transport materials throughout the building.nnClean laboratory glassware and batch tanks.nnFollow all quality and safety procedures.nnSupport quality systems.nnFollow safety procedures at all times.nnDon, doff, use, and clean PPE.nnFollow Good Documentation Practices.nnDocument all equipment used and verify calibration status.nnBe familiar with hazards common to assigned work and take action to correct unsafe situations.nnParticipate in required safety activities such as training sessions, meetings, and documentation.nnDevelop and assist in the implementation of process improvement ideas.nnComply with the requirements of ISO 13485 and ISO 9001.nnParticipate in 6S activities.nnMaintain good housekeeping and audit readiness.nnWhat's Needed?nnHigh school diploma or equivalent.nnAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.nnAbility to write routine reports and correspondence.nnAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.nnAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.nnWhat's in it for me?nnCompetitive pay rate of $20/hr. and 7% shift differential.nnOpportunity to work with a leading manufacturer in the chemical industry.nnFull-time, long-term employment with potential for growth and advancement.nnGreat benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401k.nnOpportunity to work in a team-oriented environment with a focus on safety and quality.nnIf this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
