Discover your exciting role The Truck Driver/Material Handler - TFS is responsible for the driving, moving, loading, transporting, and unloading of material and packages from one location to another in a safe and timely manner. A clean driving record is required. In addition, this position may also be asked by the shop manager to perform basic functions in the shop such as keeping it clean and orderly.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities - Uses route navigation applications and knowledge of the area to pick up and deliver material or packages
- Loads and/or unloads material or packages
- Interacts with key project members and customers in a professional manner
- Inspects and maintains vehicle by adding fluids when needed, checking tires, brakes, lights, and fuel
- Reports any mechanical problem encountered with vehicle
- Organizes warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
- Assists in the counting of physical inventory
- Maintains vehicle and warehouse logs as necessary
- Prepares parcels for mailing
- Other duties as assigned
Show your expertise - High School Diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of experience
- Prior experience with light duty pickup
- Prior experience with pulling 20ft cargo trailers
- Ability to manage time and routes for a streamlined delivery route
- Familiarity with GPS devices or map applications
