From corporate campuses to single sites, EFS provides a range of services that support mission-critical areas of financial services, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, transportation, and government sectors.nnJob Title: HVAC TechniciannnJob Summary:nnThe HVAC Technician is responsible for installs, services, modifies, rebuilds, and repairs air-conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment in commercial establishment in accordance with applicable building codes and safety regulations. Tasks range from periodic inspection to locate and determine cause of equipment malfunctions to conducting maintenance programs to prevent failure of such equipment as electrical controls, evaporative condensers, pumps, fans, and heating equipment. Checks and tests for leaks; sets and adjusts controls and regulators; overhauls equipment. May service, modify, and maintain centralized BAS computer systems and make program corrections. Independently performs non-routine and moderately complex assignments. Research assignments, processes, and analyzes data and may develop recommendations. Competently uses computers and other systems to access, maintain, and manipulate data. General supervision with instructions given for routine work and detailed instructions for new lines of work or special assignments.nnEssential Duties and Responsibilities:nnJourneyman level HVAC experience troubleshooting, repairing and/or replacing motors, pumps, fans and equipmentnnLM Buildings work orders system experience.nnRespond to, as directed by established operational procedures, all house calls in a timely and professional manner to determine malfunctions.nnPerform preventative maintenance work on HVAC equipmentnnInterface with other contractors and other departments with whom they must work or share joint responsibilities to assure a proper working business atmosphere is maintained at all times.nnDocument all events such as leaks, mechanical or electrical failures, tenant complaints, accidents, vendors and contractors entering or leaving the building.nnDocument all anomalies, significant weather disturbances, frozen pipes, glass breaks, door closure concerns, roof leaks, etc.nnMust be able to assist with snow removal activities.nnQualifications:nnHigh School diploma, Vocational Schoolnn2 to 4 years prior experiencennEPA 608 certification (Universal), Mechanical IV HVAC LicensennHave or be eligible to obtain a security clearancennJourneyman level HVACnnHVAC skills requirednnFacilities MaintenancennComputer skillsnnRead and interpret blueprint/drawingsnnExperienced background with chiller maintenance and operations work, RTU’s and VAV’snnMust be able to obtain a DOD security clearancennKnowledge of hand tools and metal working toolsnnMust be available to be on a rotating, on call schedulennNotice to prospective employees: There have been fraudulent postings and emails regarding job openings.
