Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd shiftnnCompetitive hourly pay and a Monday thru Friday schedule!nn2nd shift, midday, 2:30PM.to 10:30PM - Monday thru Friday; Requires the ability to work overtime based on work demands.nnKey Job Elementsnn• Experience working with packaging equipment required, specifically, flow wrappers (horizontal bagging), cartoner machines, glue machines, extrusion machines, conveyors systems, mixing machines, scales, and presses; • Perform emergency/reactive repairs of production equipment and conduct follow-up evaluations to assess effectiveness of repair;nn• Maintain equipment according to Preventative Maintenance program and maintenance work orders;nn• Responsible for facility maintenance;nn• Complete and submit maintenance documentation and issue new improvement opportunities for review;nn• Provide ideas and solutions to unplanned equipment downtime through design change, inspection techniques or conditional monitoring;nn• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic controls;nn• Read and understand equipment manuals, design drawings and electrical schematics to complete reactive and preventative maintenance;nn• Assist in 5S to optimize productivity and sustain a safe and efficient working environment;nn• Comply with all plant safety, OSHA and environmental regulations.nnEducation / Trainingnn• Associates or Vocational degree in a mechanical or electrical field or industrial maintenance or a combination of education and experience.nnQualifications and Experiencenn• 5 years of manufacturing/maintenance experience;nn• Knowledge and familiarity with mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment;nn• Electrical skills and experience with 24Vdc and 3 phase 480V;nn• PLC and VFD experience and troubleshooting;nn• Fabrication and welding experience, a plus;nn• Proven industrial maintenance experience;nn• History of strong problem solving and continuous improvements;nn• Able to identify and requisition replacement parts;nn• Strong attention to detail;nn• Willingness to learn new techniques, processes and procedures;nn• Competence in computer skills;nn• Strong communication skills;nn• Ability to work in a highly responsive manner and ensure production schedules are met;nn• Willingness to support maintenance activities on other shifts and on weekends as production schedules require;nn• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form, with operators, supervisors, and managers;nn• Our maintenance department is part of our Union;nn• Ability to follow written work instructions.nnBenefitsnnCompetitive SalarynnMedical/Dental/Vision/Life/Disability InsurancennSupplemental Accident, Critical Care, and Hospital Insurance availablennPaid VacationnnPaid HolidaysnnPaid Time-Off (PTO) *Benefits eligibility varies by job position, full-time/part-time and regular/temporary status.
