The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of the food manufacturing facility, ensuring all equipment, machinery, and systems are operating at peak efficiency. This role involves leading a team of maintenance technicians, managing preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with all safety, health, and regulatory standards specific to the food manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities :

Supervision & Leadership :

Lead, coach, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring effective performance and skill development.
n n- n
Assign and prioritize daily tasks to maintenance staff and ensure completion within established timeframes.
n n- n
Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and foster a collaborative work environment.
n n- n
Maintenance Planning & Execution :
n n- n
Develop, implement, and manage the preventive maintenance (PM) program for all production equipment and facility infrastructure.
n n- n
Schedule and coordinate both planned and emergency maintenance activities to minimize production downtime.
n n- n
Perform hands-on maintenance tasks and troubleshooting for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems as needed.
n n- n
Oversee repair and maintenance of production machinery, conveyors, refrigeration systems, boilers, HVAC, and other critical systems.
n n- n
Equipment & Facility Management :
n n- n
Ensure all machinery and equipment are in good working condition, conducting regular inspections and assessments.
n n- n
Collaborate with production managers to identify and resolve equipment issues that impact production efficiency and quality.
n n- n
Ensure maintenance activities meet or exceed food safety standards, following industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, OSHA, GMP, HACCP).

Inventory & Budget Management :
n n- n
Manage inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for maintenance tasks.
n n- n
Work within the maintenance budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality standards.
n n- n
Recommend purchasing needs for replacement parts and tools.
n n- n
Safety & Compliance :
n n- n
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace, specifically for food manufacturing operations.
n n- n
Promote a safety-first culture by conducting regular safety meetings, inspections, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
n n- n
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of food safety regulations and ensure all maintenance practices comply.
n n- n
Documentation & Reporting :
n n- n
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment repairs in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
n n- n
Prepare reports on maintenance activities, downtime analysis, and equipment performance for upper management.
n n- n
Assist in the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance activities.

Qualifications :
n
n- n
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
n n- n
Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance role within a food manufacturing or similar industrial environment; at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Technical Skills :

Strong understanding of industrial equipment, mechanical systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
n n- n
Experience with preventative maintenance systems and CMMS software.
n n- n
Knowledge of food safety regulations, OSHA, GMP, HACCP, and other industry standards.
