Job Description: Employment Law Attorney - Energy Space

We are expanding our team and are seeking a lawyer with a strong background in employment law and general corporate matters. This role will involve providing expert legal guidance to the HR department and executives on a variety of employment-related issues, including hiring, terminations, leaves, accommodations, payroll and benefits compliance, and employee relations while ensuring adherence to employment laws. Responsibilities will also include drafting severance and other employment-related agreements, as well as handling general corporate tasks such as policy development and contract review. The ideal candidate will stay informed about relevant employment laws and best practices and provide timely counsel to the company.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Provide guidance to HR on employee relations matters, including hiring and terminations
  • Draft and review employment-related contracts and agreements
  • Stay updated on employment law changes and advise the Assistant General Counsel (AGC) on state and federal regulations
  • Create, review, and update corporate policies
  • Collaborate with outside counsel on employment-related litigation and disputes when needed


Qualifications for Success:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and a current good standing membership with the state bar
  • Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts or eligible for admission
  • Three to six years of experience in employment law, either in a law firm or a top-tier internal legal department
  • Strong contract knowledge and excellent writing skills
