As Director of Infrastructure, you'll lead the design, implementation, and management of our infrastructure, reporting to the CTO. You'll build and guide a high-performing team, ensuring our technology is scalable, secure, and reliable. This role demands strategic vision, technical expertise, and strong leadership to drive innovation and excellence within the team.
Role:
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of infrastructure systems, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud solutions.
- Create and implement a strategic infrastructure plan that aligns with business goals, driving innovation and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with various teams to evaluate infrastructure requirements, identify areas for improvement, and lead optimization initiatives.
- Set and enforce standards, policies, and best practices to ensure a secure and compliant infrastructure environment.
- Continuously monitor system performance, proactively resolving issues to minimize downtime and maintain peak performance.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies, recommending and adopting solutions to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts, negotiating terms and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Oversee infrastructure budgeting, including forecasting and planning for future resource needs.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, promoting a collaborative and inclusive culture focused on growth and development.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure management, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Experience in building and managing infrastructure for high-scale, low-latency environments.
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), automation tools (Kubernetes, Terraform), and CI/CD processes (Jenkins).
- Familiarity with real-time data environments like those found in e-commerce, online platforms, gaming etc (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia).
- Ability to optimize infrastructure for both performance and cost, ensuring the business can scale rapidly.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing distributed teams and ensuring 24/7 support.
Salary and Benefits
- $170,000 - $230,000 base salary (target $200,000)
- Bonus
- Remote work flexibility for East or Central Time Zones, with a preference for candidates near the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
