Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Bioinformatics Scientist with expertise in Some combination of human genetics and/or omics data analysis experience to join the dynamic team with our biotech client. The ideal candidate will have a background in bioinformatics, experience with some combination of RNAseq/scRNAseq data analysis and human genetics/statistical genetics, and a passion for translating complex data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Perform comprehensive stat gen data analysis, including quality control, alignment, differential expression analysis, and pathway analysis.
- Experienced with GWAS and UK Biobank analysis
- Proficiency in python programming
- Data Interpretation: Interpret and communicate results effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including preparing reports and visualizations.
- Innovation: Stay current with the latest advancements in bioinformatics and RNAseq methodologies, integrating new techniques and tools into existing workflows.
Qualifications:
- Education: Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or a related field.
- Programming Skills: Preferably skilled in python programming
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and contribute to multidisciplinary projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Research experience in genetics, including publications
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and large-scale data management systems.
- Prior experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical company is advantageous.
