Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing our logistics operations and ensuring the efficient and safe transportation of chemical products from our manufacturing facilities to customers and distribution centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics management, regulatory compliance, and supply chain optimization.
Logistics Manager Responsibilities:
- Logistics Planning: Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize transportation and distribution processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of chemical products.
- Shipping Operations: Oversee all shipping activities, including scheduling shipments, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to ensure adequate stock for shipping while minimizing excess inventory.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all shipping and logistics operations comply with relevant local, national, and international regulations, including hazardous materials handling and environmental standards.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with shipping vendors and freight carriers to negotiate rates, services, and performance metrics.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within logistics and shipping operations, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor logistics and shipping staff, fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze logistics performance metrics and reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Logistics Manager Requirements:
- Minimum of a completed Bachelor’s in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field required; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Three (3) to Five (5) plus years of prior experience in logistics and shipping management/supply chain required, preferably within the chemical manufacturing or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of hazardous materials regulations, shipping laws, and compliance requirements specific to the chemical industry; Experience with European & Asian regulatory and compliance requirements strongly preferred
- Experience in both domestic and international shipping requirements is required
- Strong technological proficiency in MS Office Suite (particularly Excel) and Power BI strongly preferred

- Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, product development, and regulatory requirements (e.g., EPA, OSHA).
