The Position

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and various other legal documents.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices, fostering a cohesive and supportive team dynamic.
• Independently handle a litigation caseload, managing cases from start to finish as part of a team.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and provide case status updates.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in California.
• A minimum of 2 years of defense litigation experience.
• Preferred experience in transportation, motor vehicle accident, and trucking cases.
• Required experience in drafting discovery and pretrial motions.
• Preferred experience in cross-examining plaintiffs and other fact witnesses.
• Court appearances, depositions, and trial experience are advantageous.
• Second-chair trial experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Pay Range

$125,000 - $190,000 USD
