Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Manager, you will lead and manage the maintenance operations of our plastic manufacturing facility. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of all machinery, equipment, and systems to support our production goals. You'll lead a skilled team, implement preventive maintenance programs, and foster continuous improvements in efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Maintenance Operations: Manage the upkeep of injection molding machines, extrusion lines, and facility support systems.
Team Leadership: Train, supervise, and develop a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence.
Preventive Maintenance: Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules to minimize machine downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Direct the troubleshooting and repair of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
Budget Management: Manage maintenance budgets, cost control, and capital expenditure projects.
Vendor & Contractor Management: Coordinate with external vendors for parts, service agreements, and equipment repairs.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with OSHA and company safety standards.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize equipment performance.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in maintenance management, with a preference for experience in plastic manufacturing (injection molding, extrusion, etc.).
Technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teams in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and preventative maintenance systems.
Excellent troubleshooting and PLC knowledge preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
